Lewis Brush, 77, passed away June 30, 2013 in his Oregon home, with his immediate family present. He was born September 25 in Trenton, Mo. to the late Edward and Lee Brush (Overton).
Lewis spent four years serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; graduated from the University of Missouri; and retired from the Bureau of Land Management. He was a hunting enthusiast, and loved children. He enjoyed telling stories to kids and most recently found his niche playing St. Nicholas for preschool children. Friends and family appreciated his company and lively personality.
Lewis leaves behind his wife, Darlene; one son, Edward (Melissa) Brush, of Rising Sun, Ind.; one daughter, Lori (Ty) Goodrich, of Medford, Ore.; six grandchildren, Tucker, Jake, Joe and Lucy Brush, of Indiana, and Connor and Ryan Goodrich, of Medford; three step-grandchildren, Josh, Zach and Matt Martini, of Indiana; as well as three brothers, Ross (Wilma) Brush, of N.M., Jim (Suzanne) Brush, of Missouri, and Charles (Ann) Brush, of Tenn.
He was preceded in death by son, Bruce Allen Brush.
A private memorial service will take place in Missouri at a later date. Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, 456 W. Pine St., Central Point, OR 97502.
