November 26, 1939-July 1, 2013

Beverly Marie Templer was born in Medford, Ore. to Charles and Marie Cummons (Dole) November 26, 1939. Beverly moved with her family to the Columbia River Gorge, living in The Dalles, Hermiston, Cascade Locks, and Hood River, Ore. She returned to the Rogue Valley in 1956 where she spent most of the rest of her life.

Beverly was married in 1959 and had three beautiful children, Steve, Stacy, and David. She was a busy young woman, raising her children and working. She was a longtime florist and later became a bookkeeper and administrative assistant in several local businesses. In her spare time she enjoyed music, both vocal and piano. She had a beautiful voice which she shared at weddings and in church services. She also learned to play the piano and enjoyed playing lively songs and show tunes. Watching musicals, such as Fiddler on The Roof, was a favorite pastime as well. Throughout her life, Beverly was a great creative cook and enjoyed gardening as often as she could. In recent years she loved junkin (yard sales) on weekends, collected angels, enjoyed walks with her husband, Gene, and had attended Hope Christian Church.

Beverly was a beautiful and loving sister, wife, Mom, and friend and will be missed by many whose hearts were touched by her.

Beverly was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Stacy Marie Thomas; a nephew; and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gene; beloved Yorkie, Buddy; sons, Steve Thomas (Angi) and David Eagle (Peggy); four grandchildren; brother, Loren Cummons (Mayumi); sisters, Janean Cummons, Wanda Cummons-Gemaehlich (Bob); and four nieces.

A memorial service at Eagle Point National Cemetery Chapel will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kevin Gowland will be officiating.
