  • The 47th annual children's festival continues at 4:30 p.m. today in Jacksonville.
This year's theme is “Dig Deep, Adventures Await.” The festival will include hands-on art, crafts, science projects, storytelling, performances and food from the Dragon Deli. Older kids can participate in candle-making, pottery and wood-working, and younger kids can make their own puppets, create sand and easel art, and have their faces painted.
Rosabelle, a baby dragon that eats only recyclable materials, is new to the festival this year. Created by Claire Barr-Wilson, baby Rosabelle joins the festival's large litter-eating dragon, another Barr-Wilson creation that has charmed children for years.
The festival continues from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday. Admission is $3. Call 541-774-8678 or see www.storytellingguild.org.
