Clyde Alvin Severson

Clyde Severson passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at his home in Central Point, Ore.


Clyde was born June 13, 1939, in Lake Park Village, Minn., to Alfred Severson and L. Jean Severson. The family moved to Medford in 1953. In 1962, Clyde married Susan Hurt and they had celebrated 51 years of marriage. Clyde was a Realtor in the Rogue Valley since 1977 and he loved his career. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose, RVAR and the Exchange Club.


Clyde enjoyed traveling, fishing for steelhead, sturgeon and salmon; going for drives; and spending time with his family. Over the past few years, he was able to take his family to Hawaii three times.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Susan Hurt Severson; his sons, Clyde V. Severson, of Grants Pass, Ore. and Daniel A. Severson, of Gold Hill, Ore.; his daughter, Traci J. Rheinsburg, of Medford; six grandchildren; sisters, Betty Daniken, of Greenville, Ill. and Gladys Reynolds, of Medford; brothers, Daniel T. Severson, of Santa Rosa, Calif. and Lewis Severson of Medford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and L. Jean; and siblings, Alfred Severson, Kermit Severson, AllenDean Severson, Madrene Severson and Audrey Basey.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Hwy., Medford, Ore. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817 or the American Heart Association.
