  • The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is looking for help solving a May burglary in which two teakwood doors and a large generator were swiped from a bank-owned property in Prospect.
    The burglary in the 2500 block of Mill Creek Drive was reported to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department on May 27, the department reported in a Crime Stoppers press release today.
    A person looking to purchase the home, which is owned by First Tennessee Bank, reported the theft of the doors and generator, which have an estimated value of $13,000.
    The sheriff's department and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with tips can call the Sheriff's Department tip line at 541-774-8333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-850-0850. Callers can remain anonymous.
