Three players for the Medford Rogues have been selected to play for the West Coast League South Division team in the WCL All-Star game.
UC Riverside first baseman Kevin Davidson and pitchers Brett DeRooy of Campbellsville University (Ky.) and Justin Jacome of UC Santa Barbara will represent the Rogues in a game that pits the WCL South versus the WCL North.
The All-Star game will be July 23 at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, B.C.
Davidson, who played for Klamath Falls in 2012, was batting .375 with four home runs and 23 RBIs heading into Monday's game against the Wenatchee Applesox. He ranks second in the WCL in home runs and RBIs and fifth in batting average.
DeRooy is 1-2 with a 4.32 ERA and is second in the WCL with 37 strikeouts.
Jacome has only three starts under his belt, but has made the most of them. He's 1-1 with a 0.87 ERA and 20 strikeouts. He has yet to walk a batter in 202/3 innings of work.
"It's very hard for an expansion team to break through when it comes to All-Star recognition, and we're very proud of our guys for earning this honor," Rogues General Manager Chuck Heeman said in a release.
