Philadelphia set to interview candidates for coaching job

PHILADELPHIA — Two more names apparently have been added to the 76ers' coaching wish list.

The Sixers have received permission to speak to Chicago Bulls assistant coaches Ed Pinckney and Adrian Griffin for their vacant coaching position, ESPN reported.

Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie has not interviewed either coach, according to the report, but has done background checks on both.

Coaching the Sixers would be a homecoming of sorts for Pinckney. The most outstanding player of the Final Four, he led Villanova to the 1985 NCAA title.
