  • The third leg of Oregon's 3-D archery shooting competition comes to the Rogue Valley this weekend.
Beekman Ridge Archery Range near Eagle Point will host the Oregon State 3-D shooting championships, which is open to the public.
The Saturday and Sunday event is the third and final leg of the Oregon Bowhunters' three main competitions. You don't have to be an association member to participate, but only association members qualify for awards.
Participants shoot at three-dimensional targets set at varying distances and angles, with scoring based on the placement of shots. No range-finders are allowed.
Participants can compete in a wide range of categories by age and gender, as well as a pro division.
The range is at 15580 Butte Falls Highway.
The event has a sliding cost scale, with a family of three or more able to participate both days for $85.
Participants can register at the range from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight and 7 to 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. On-site camping is available.
For information about the association, see www.oregonbowhunters.com/tournaments.htm
