Ronald Lawrence Bernhardt, age 66, passed away June 29, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nev., following a valiant fight with cancer. Mr. Bernhardt lived in Henderson, Nev., but was a former long-time resident of Eagle Point, Ore.

Ron was born November 13, 1946, in Eugene, Ore., to William and Delores Bernhardt. He graduated from Mapleton High School in Mapleton, Ore. He retired after working 38 dedicated years of employment with 3M, Imation, and Kodak, located in White City, Ore. Ron was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1977.

Surviving and left to honor him in life is his lifetime sweetheart of 45 years (September 16, 1967), his wife Carmen; son, Troy Bernhardt and wife Kim, of Talent, Ore.; daughter, Caprena Elliott and husband Dan, of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; sisters, Diana Debrick, of Eagle Point and Nancie Jenkins, of Eugene; grandchildren: Steven Bernhardt and wife Mindy, Kali Knight and husband Seth, and Anna and Abby Bernhardt; four great-grandchildren: Emily, Sean, Dylan, and Owen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and those who have come to know and love him for the loving and caring person that he was. Ron was preceded in death by loving infant daughter, Surena; younger brother, Wayne Bernhardt; and both his parents.

Thoughout his lifetime Ron cherished every moment with his wife and family, and has left love with all he knew. He also enjoyed repairing vehicles, hunting, fishing, dreaming of romantic thoughts, yellow roses, and beautiful sunsets.

A potluck celebration of his life will be held between the hours of 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Ed's Oasis Ballroom, 299 Old Hwy. 62, Eagle Point, OR 97524.
