Meeting helps new contractors

The Oregon Construction Contractors' Board and Rogue Community College's Small Business Development Center will host a town hall meeting and workshop for new contractors Thursday, July 25.

The meeting will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Rogue Auditorium on RCC's Redwood Campus, 3345 Redwood Highway.

At the meeting, the OCCB will take public input on current programs and regulatory reforms. Topics of discussion will include financial accountability, continuing education for contractors, and licensing. Workshop attendees will receive information on how prospective contractors can get licensed in the state, and get a chance to meet professionals in the industry. There will also be a question-and-answer session, along with help on how to fill out contractor license application forms.

No registration is required for the event.
