The Medford Rogues' Jerad Casper was named West Coast League player of the week on Monday.

The Medford Rogues' Jerad Casper was named West Coast League player of the week on Monday.

Casper, who plays for Oregon State, went 12-for-26 with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs for the red-hot Rogues (20-19) who have won six straight games and are only four behind South Division-leading Bend (23-14).

Medford swept home series versus Victoria and Klamath Falls, and went 6-1 for the week.

Casper was a late pick to represent the Rogues in today's WCL All-Star Game at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, B.C., Canada.

For the summer, Casper is hitting .305 with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBIs.
