California country and Americana trio, Calico, will present three-part vocal harmonies "reminiscent of an earthier Dixie Chicks mixed with Crosby, Stills, and Nash" at 9 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Johnny B's Rockin' Diner, 120 E. Sixth St., Medford.
The trio, a "singer-songwriter supergroup," according to a news release, features Manda "Perry Rose" Mosher, Kirsten "Snap Dragon" Proffit and Jaime "Juniper" Wyatt. Mosher, Proffit and Wyatt alternate singing lead vocals and collectively play mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and acoustic and resonator guitars,.
This summer, Calico, which formed less than a year ago, is putting the final touches on its debut EP and actively touring.
