  • CENTRAL POINT — Police here want to speak to a suspicious man who has disturbed residents by knocking on doors early in the morning in areas that have seen a spike in burglaries.
Central Point police Lt. Jarod Pomeroy is asking anyone who is awakened by this man to immediately call police.
"It is suspicious that he is walking around these residential neighborhoods this early," Pomeroy said.
The man knocks on doors, and when residents answer, he claims that he is looking for his dog, Pomeroy said.
The man might be connected to a series of crimes in these residential neighborhoods, Pomeroy said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who stands 5-feet-6. He is clean shaven and wears baggy clothing, possibly an Oakland Raiders shirt.
Anyone with information that could prove useful to the investigation is asked to call Central Point police at 541-664-5578.
