Wesley Offenbacher, of Ruch, Ore., passed away Friday, July 26, 2013. He was born August 19, 1930, in Medford, Ore., to Lance and Stella Layton Offenbacher. His family pioneered to the Applegate Valley. On June 14, 1953, he married Bette Ridgley at the First Methodist Church, Medford, Ore.
Wes served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. He graduated from OIT in Klamath Falls, Ore., and worked as a mechanic with Copco, and Pacific Power and Light Co. until his retirement in 1985.
He enjoyed being out of doors and working on his property and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to Bette, include; daughter, Kathleen (Doug) McKee, Mary (Mark) Westermann, both of Medford, Ore., and Barbara (Mike) Spees, of Gold Hill, Ore.; granddaughter, Michelle Westermann; and great-grandson, Caden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Stella Offenbacher; brother, Walter Offenbacher; and sister, Rosie Offenbacher Phipps.
Wes wanted to go out the way he came in, so no services will be held. Arrangements are being made by Conger Morris Central Point Chapel.
