Theresa Hale (Steblay), 86, of Bloomington, Minn. passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at Breck Homes in Bloomington. The family would like to thank Jennifer Morgan and her staff for the wonderful care she received.
She was born March 24, 1927, in Eveleth, Minn. to Joseph and Mary (Rigler) Steblay and was the ninth of 10 children. Theresa moved to Duluth, Minn. and in 1953 was united in marriage to Robert Hale, a sergeant in the USAF. They lived in South Carolina, California and Oregon. She worked for Standard Oil in Duluth; Civil Service in South Carolina; Owens-Corning Fiberglass in California; and 3M in Oregon where she retired after 16 years of service. Theresa enjoyed music and played accordion and guitar. She loved animals and had pet dogs for most of her life.
She is survived by her sister, Anne Moren, of Arden Hills, Minn.; brother, Louis Lexy Steblay, of Las Vegas, Nev.; nephews and nieces, Margaret (Moren) Lopez, of Scarsdale, N.Y., Dr. Maryanne Moren, of St. Louis Park, Minn., Stan Moren, of Lakeville, Minn., Louis Moren, of Mahtomedi, Minn., Edward Kucler, of Berea, Ohio, and Jack Kucler, of Strongville, Ohio; and great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 2005; sisters, Mary Steblay and Frances Kucler; brothers, Joe and John Steblay; one brother and two sisters during infancy.
A memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, Minn. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Inurnment will be in Eveleth Cemetery next to her husband Bob, at a later date.
