    Glena Lee Rasmussen, 74, suffered a stroke at her home in Jacksonville, Ore. on June 13, 2013 and was flown to OHSU in Portland. She was moved to Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center in Camas, WA on June 24. Glena was taken to the Peace Health S.W. Medical Hospital in Vancouver, WA the evening of July 20 and passed away early morning of July 21, 2013 with family members at her side.
    Glena was born in Medford, OR and lived in the Rogue Valley almost all her life.
    She attended schools in Medford and was the Head Majorette for the Black Tornados. That was where her husband, David, first saw her and told a friend he was going to marry her; they were married for 54 years.
    Glena loved her family, dancing, friends, working, travel, and helping people. She was a partner with her husband and son at Jackson Travel Agency in Medford. Glena attended the Medford First Nazarene Church and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
    Glena has danced with all the tap greats and masters, including Savion Glover and Gregory Hines. She started tap dancing at nine years of age and taught her first class when she was 14 years old. One of her students currently has the role of Mary Poppins on Broadway in New York. Teaching was Glena's first love and she had a dance studio in her home.
    Survivors, in addition to her husband David E. Rasmussen, include; sons, Kelly R. Rasmussen, Juan M. Rasmussen and wife Jessica; daughters, Trina L. Jones and husband Donald P. Jones all of the Medford area, Holly S. Rasmussen and Jennifer Mannila, of Portland, Ore.; grandsons, Andrew J. Rasmussen and wife Robin, of Medford, Ore., Mikyl Q. Rasmussen and wife Megan of Portland, Ore.; granddaughters, Aubree J.M. Rasmussen of Portland, Ore., Gabriella R. Jones of Medford, Ore.; great grandsons, Gabe and Jude Rasmussen of Medford, Ore.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Marjory Hobbs; and brother, Tom Hobbs.
    The Celebration of Glena's life will be at Medford First Nazarene Church, 1974 E. McAndrews Rd. Medford, OR. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
