  • Mike Lavender has been named branch manager at Bank of the Cascade's Crater Lake Highway office.
    Lavender was previously with JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor, Washington Mutual Bank, for 15 years as a lending and district manager in the Rogue Valley and Eugene.
    The company also hired Matt Beers as senior vice president and mortgage operations manager. The 20-year banking veteran will be based in Bend.

    Whitney Madigan has joined the Crater Animal Clinic veterinary staff. Madigan recently graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a degree in animal science, with minors in chemistry and German. Her professional interests include small ruminant medicine and surgery, as well as equine lameness and dentistry.

    U.S. Bank has hired Andria Razo as a small business relationship manager in Southern Oregon and Northern California. She will be based in Ashland.
    Razo previously was a Small Business Administration development officer with Pacific Capital Bank and has more than 14 years experience in small business and consumer lending across a broad spectrum of communities and industries.

    Medford resident Monica Smith, a Valley Lift driver for Paratransit Services, received a 2012 President's Merit Award. The award acknowledges employees for outstanding individual performance and important contributions. She also was Driver of the Year in 2012.
    Paratransit Services is a Washington state nonprofit company contracting with the Rogue Valley Transportation District to operate Valley Lift, the wheelchair accessible, curb-to-curb transit program.

    John Lamy has been named Southern Oregon catalyst manager for the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, succeeding Lorie Harris Hancock, in the organization's efforts to stimulate and support emerging businesses.
    Lamy earned an engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Cornell University. He worked for Hewlett-Packard for 30 years before moving to the Rogue Valley. He is a member of the SOREDI Technical Advisory Group.
