Moksha takes a brief respite from the "Sin City" music scene for a two-week West Coast tour that includes a show at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at The Talent Club, 114 Talent Ave., Talent.

A Las Vegas crowd pleaser, the funk-rock band features vocalist Sam Lemos, drummer Patrick Gray, guitarist Jeremy Parks, keyboardist Brian Triola and bassist John Heishman.

The band has released two albums — "Mammal and Machine" (2010) and "Here to Go" (2011) — and has plans to record a live and studio album this fall, both for release next spring. Its debut and sophomore albums were recorded and mixed by four-time Grammy Award-winning engineer James "Bonzai" Caruso (Damian Marley, Steven Marley, Alecia Keys and Madonna).

Ashland's Buckle Rash will open the show at the Talent Club with a set of Aaron Reed's original country and Southern rock with a punk twist. The cover to the show is $7.
