  • A lunchtime concert at The Commons in downtown Medford has been canceled because of poor air quality, the Medford Parks and Recreation Department said.
    Generation Jones was scheduled to play from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., but called off today's show. Officials said they hope to reschedule when the air quality improves.
    Ponderosa Breeze is still scheduled to perform from 11:45 to 1:15 p.m. on Friday at The Commons.
    Asante Hospice's annual butterfly release set for Aug. 17 has been canceled. A concert by singer and songwriter Alan Pedersen still will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. The performance, sponsored by Asante and Rogue Valley Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, features songs of love and loss. The butterfly event was to follow the show.
    Hearts and Vines has moved its 20th anniversary dinner and auction at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, indoors to Bigham Knoll, 525 Bigham Knoll Road, Jacksonville.
    Organizers said the venue change will reduce the number of guests accommodated to 250. Because seating is limited, your RSVP will be confirmed by date received.

    Central Point has cancelled its Friday Night Festival at Twin Creeks Park, and has rescheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23. The band Bustin' Out will perform, along with a showing of the 'Hotel Transylvania' movie.
