St. Mark's holds annual Men's Choir Day on Sunday

St. Mark's Episcopal Church will hold its annual Men's Choir Day at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at 140 N. Oakdale Ave. Tenors and basses will be encouraged to learn the music for the following 10 a.m. service.

Holy Eucharist will be served at the 8 a.m. service.

RVUUF members share their journeys to humanism

"What it Means to be a Humanist" will be the theme for the service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 87 Fourth St., Ashland. Four members of RVUUF will share stories of their personal journeys to humanism.

Sacred healing meditation set at Christ Unity Church

A sacred healing meditation will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 10, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford.

The Rev. Rob Wheeler will give a lesson on "Speak the Word" at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the church. Guest musician Bridget Wolf will perform.

Interdenominational Bible study begins Sept. 12

Community Bible Study, an interdenominational Bible study will begin its 2013-14 class series at 9:15 a.m. Thursdays starting Thursday, Sept. 12, at Eastwood Baptist Church, 675 N. Keene Way Drive, Medford.

The program includes individual study, small group discussion, a lecture and fellowship. Books covered will be Hebrews, Job and Ephesians.

The study offers a nursery for babies up to 24 months of age, children's programs for kids ages 2 through 5, elementary curriculum for students in grades one through eight, and a teen program for those in grades nine through 12. To register call 541-772-6089.


Center for Spiritual Living sets talks on sermon topics

The Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will speak on requested sermon topics "How to Deal With Judgment," "Being on a Jury," and "Race Consciousness — What it is and How Does it Affect Me?" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3581 Lear Way, Medford.

The ongoing spiritual study group will continue its discussion of "Conversations with God, Book One" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. Books are furnished.

Medford Unitarian Universalists to air film

A short documentary film on "Eyes to Burma" will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Masonic Center, 975 N. Phoenix Road.
