  • Amanda R. Benjamin has joined the law firm of Hornecker, Cowling, Hassen & Heysell as an associate attorney.
    Benjamin graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina in 2009 and received her law degree in 2012 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. She was admitted to the Oregon State Bar this year.
    Benjamin practices family law, including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, paternity, prenuptial agreements, domestic partnerships and adoptions.

    Former Medford resident Amber Henningsen Post has been named managing director of J.R. Simplot Co.'s operations in China.
    Post will oversee global communication across business lines, and building and maintaining strategic business relationships, both in China and across the world. She also will lead the development of in-country teams.
    Post joined Simplot in 2005 as vice president and treasurer at the firm's corporate office in Boise, Idaho.
    Post was born in Hong Kong, and her father, grandfather and great-grandfather all had businesses in Hong Kong and Shanghai. When she was 8, Post and her parents relocated to Medford, where her mother, Anker Henningsen, still resides.
    Post holds two bachelor's degrees from Oregon State University and a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University. She is a certified public accountant and a certified treasury professional, and has attended the Wharton School of Business Pension Fund and Investment Management Executive Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining the Simplot Co., she served as treasurer for Alaska Airlines in Seattle.

    S&B James Construction Management has named Terry Mackey and Allen Purdy to vice president roles.
    Mackey recently oversaw construction of the Armed Forces Reserve Center for the Kingsley Air National Guard. He managed construction of the Kingsley Air Traffic Control building, Kingsley flight simulator building, Jackson County Fire District No. 3 buildings, La Clinica Central Point Health Clinic, and Medford Women's Health Center.
    During his 23-year career, Mackey has managed several well-known corporate projects in the Rogue Valley, including the Lithia Chrysler, Jeep Dodge dealership. He is the construction manager for the $15 million domiciliary and kitchen remodel projects at the Veteran's Affairs facility in White City.
    Purdy joins S&B James with more than 23 years in the commercial construction industry. Purdy was a senior project manager with Webcor Builders, where he worked on the recently completed $210 million seismic retrofit of the Memorial Stadium at the University of California at Berkeley.
    His project credits include the $125 million, 4,196-bed California State Prison at Delano, Calif., and a $285 million, 254-bed replacement hospital for Kaiser in Vallejo, Calif. He was a senior project manager for Flintco Inc. From 2006-09, he ran his own general contracting business, and previous to that he was a senior project manager for McCarthy Building Cos. He is a South Medford High School graduate and earned a degree in construction management from California State University at Chico.
