Fern Irene Jameson, 89, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born Fern Irene Richards, February 27, 1924, in American Fork, Utah. In 1942 she married Reece S. Jameson, her husband of 70 years. They moved to Grants Pass, Ore. in 1947. During the '50s and '60s she worked for First National Bank in Grants Pass.

They moved to Medford, Ore. in 1970 where she worked for Rogue Valley Medical Hospital and Dr. Kantor. After retiring in 1994, she volunteered for Smart Read and Providence Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and kept fit doing aerobics and playing racketball at the YMCA with her friends into her '80s. She loved to dance and was still floating the Rogue River at age 80. She approached life with excitement and energy, dancing and running full tilt.

She is survived by her husband, Reece S. Jameson; her brother, Ray (Stell) Richards; daughters, Lana Tolls, of Medford and Ronnie (Charlie) Kindrick, of Grants Pass; son, Darrol (Marj) Jameson, of Medford; six grandchildren; and four (soon to be five) great-grandchildren, who all loved her very much. We will all miss her wonderful smile and gentleness.
