  • St. Clair Productions announces its 18th annual Eclectic Music and More Series, which runs Sept. 20 through May 9, 2014.
    All but one show take place at the Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St., Ashland. Shows start at 8 p.m. Two acts offer workshops as well. Tickets are available online at www.stclairevents.com, and one month before each show at the Music Coop in downtown Ashland. Call 541-535-3562 for more information.
    Here is the schedule:
    Sept. 20 — Paddy Keenan, dubbed "the Jimi Hendrix of Uilleann Pipers," with Richard Mandel on guitar.
    Oct. 19 — Christine Lavin, known for her smart and funny songs. Beginning at 7 p.m., knitters are invited to join Lavin in a knitting circle before the show.
    Oct. 26 — Kelly Joe Phelps, who performs delta blues and jazz-influenced music on slide guitar.
    Nov. 8 — "Journey to the Soul of Africa," a multimedia presentation on African music and culture by Samite, originally from Uganda. Samite will offer a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 9.
    Dec. 6 — Tony Furtado, playing bluegrass, country, rock, blues, jazz, and folk on banjo, guitar and slide guitar.
    Jan. 11 — Jennifer Berezin, singer/ songwriter, producer and activist.
    Feb. 1 — "Legends of the Celtic Harp," with Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter.
    Feb. 7 — "The Banjo in America," by banjoist Bill Evans.
    March 6 — Baritone John Gorka, with opener Antje Duvekot.
    March 28 — Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai and percussionist Will Clipman. Nakai and Clipman will offer a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon March 29.
    April 12 — Singer/songwriter David Roth.
    April 26 — Comedian Swami Beyondanada's "A Two-Man One-Man Show."
    May 9 — An Evening of Bluegrass with Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum and Robin and Linda Williams.
