  • A music festival and barbecue intended to support Jackson County libraries in the Upper Rogue is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Butte Creek Mill in Eagle Point.
    The fourth Music at the Mill event will feature local bluegrass band Eight Dollar Mountain, a barbecue dinner catered by Jeffro's in Shady Cove and local beer and wines. There will also be an auction of fishing trips, a golf and dinner package, a dinner for eight and others items and experiences.
    Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the Butte Creek Mill, 402 Royal Ave., Eagle Point; the Prospect Store, 500 Mill Creek Drive, Prospect; Chickadee Gifts and Garden, 22299 Highway 62, Shady Cove; or Kukaz Kutz, 7551 Crater Lake Highway, White City. All proceeds go to Friends of the Library groups.
