Kenneth Jerome Roach, 82, of Medford, Ore., passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at R.R.M.C. He was born July 13, 1931 in Baltimore, Md. to his parents John and Mary (Myers) Roach.
Ken served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He worked at Budge-McHugh Supply Co. for 15 years. He also volunteered at Providence Hospital for 22 years.
He married Dorothy (Dot) Ransom October 27, 1978 in Medford.
Ken enjoyed playing video slot machines at Deli Delight. He and Dot also enjoyed taking Raindance Bus Tours for 20 years to such places as Laughlin, Las Vegas, and Reno. They also took an Alaskan cruise and a Mississippi River boat cruise.
He is survived by his wife, Dot; sons, Dean, Bob, Jim (Roxie), and Jason (Tiffany); seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Paul and David Roach.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Scheeler; and brothers, George and John Roach.
Casual attire services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd., Eagle Point. An open house celebration of life will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Southern Oregon Humane Society.
