Food pairings: The wine's bit of tannin holds up to red sauces while it's smooth enough for salmon, plush enough for wild-mushroom risotto and has the acid for grilled game hens stuffed with lemon, garlic and rosemary.
Tasting notes: The garnet-colored pinot noir has aromas of earth, Bing cherries, crushed, dried tea roses, pomegranate and blackberry candy and flavors of sweet cherry fruit and spice with a subtle smokiness.
