  • Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday in Eagle Point, Ore., for George S. ("Bud") Clark. Bud was born June 7, 1924 in San Francisco, Calif., and passed away in Medford, Ore. August 29, 2013. He leaves behind the love of his life, Dorothy Dougan Clark, his beloved wife of 65 years; son, Thomas Michael Clark; and daughters, Judith A. Melton and Janet M. Swanson. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy George Clark; sister, Patricia Papest; and brother, Michael J. Collins. Other loving relatives include: sister-in-law, Beverly Collins; niece, Linda Collins Barre; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Bud served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945 in the Phillipines and New Guinea. He dearly loved his "City by the Bay" to which he returned on Christmas, 1945. After retiring to Medford in 1992, he missed the fog and wonderful restaurants in San Francisco.
    Bud worked as a truck driver in the Bay Area for much of his life. He was an avid gardener. His intelligent mind was sharp to the end. He loved completing the crossword puzzles in the SF Chronicle and never stopped learning.
    Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at Eagle Point National Cemetery. 541-826-2511.
