  • Ashland police have released surveillance footage with the hope that the public can help identify two young men shown damaging property.
The vandals caused more than $1,000 in damage by spray painting marks on utility boxes, garbage bins and building walls during the night of Aug. 2, police said.
The suspects appear to be young men between the ages of 18 and 25. The video shows the two walking down Will Dodge Way "tagging" almost everything in their path with silver and black paint. At least 13 victims had their property damaged in the incident, police said in a news release.
Because the value of the damaged property exceeds $1,000, the people responsible could be cited with first-degree criminal mischief if caught, Deputy Chief Corey Falls said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ashland Police Department at 541-482-5211.
