  • Tonight marks the first time in three years the World of Outlaws sprint cars will compete at the Southern Oregon Speedway, while recent modifieds winner Monte Bischoff will also take to the White City dirt oval in the companion class to the sprint cars.
For the third time this season, the Medford-based Bischoff scored a clean sweep victory in his dirt modified at Willamette Speedway recently in Lebanon — winning the heat race, trophy dash and A-main — and he will look to continue that hot streak tonight.
Gates open at 4 p.m., with racing at 6 p.m.
Members of the Monte Bischoff Racing team gained notoriety last week when they stopped to rescue a California man and woman after their car had crashed and burst into flames along Interstate 5.
