    A weekly Bible study will begin at 9:45 a.m. Mondays starting Sept. 9. Rev. Tom Murphy will lead the group on the book of Ephesians.
    A book group meets at 6 p.m. Wednesdays to study a religious book.

    Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold a service on "The Gathering of Waters" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at 87 Fourth St., Ashland. Attendees will participate in the service by blending water representing summer experiences and shared connections. Child care is provided.
    Following the service, a luncheon will be held featuring chicken, burgers, vegetables and ice cream. Call 541-482-4755.
    Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will give a sermon on "Asking and Maximizing" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at 3581 Lear Way. A children's program will be presented during the service.
    An ongoing study group will continue its discussion of "Conversations with God, Book One" by Neale Donald Walsch from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. Books are shared. Call 541-734-8581.
    Medford Unitarian Universalist will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Masonic Center, 975 N. Phoenix Road, Medford. The program will be "Meet Grandma Aggie," a presentation by Agnes Baker Pilgrim, a descendant of tribal leaders and honored as a "Living Treasure" by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz.     Temple Emek Shalom will hold Kol Nidre services at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at 1800 E. Main St.
    Yom Kippur services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, with services for children ages 3 to 7 at 10 a.m., and services for children ages 8 to 12 at 11 a.m. Childcare for younger children will be available.
    Contemplative music and meditation will be offered at 3 p.m. Saturday, a Yizkor service will follow at 4 p.m., a Mincha and musical healing service will be held at 5 p.m. A Neilah concluding service will begin at 6:30 p.m. See www.emekshalom.org.
    Peaceful Refuge Sangha will hold "A Day of Mindfulness" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. Kharmacharya Barbara Casey will lead a teaching titled "The Power of Gratitude: a Revolutionary Path to Transformation and Happiness."
