Kay Bessie Guches, 74, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at her home in Applegate, Ore. She was born August 25, 1939, to Ray and Bessie Goin, in Grants Pass, Ore. She was a life-long resident of the Rogue Valley and lived the last 44 years in Applegate, Ore.
She graduated high school in Phoenix, Ore. On January 5, 1957, Kay married Richard Guches. She was employed by Harry & David for more than 35 years. Kay enjoyed reading, gardening, and especially loved to travel.
Kay is survived by her sons, Glen, Roger, and Ed Guches, all of Applegate, Ore.; daughters, Deanna Medina, of Central Point, Ore., and Connie Olivas, of Williams, Ore.; sister, Carol Guches, of Kerby, Ore.; brother, Bill Goin, of Medford, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Guches; and brothers, Dan and Jim Goin.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at Williams Community Church, Williams, Ore. Pastor Rob Culton will be officiating. Kay will be laid to rest in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
