  • Lotus Rising Project, a social justice organization for LGBTQ youth, will present "My Story, Your Story, Bullying Hurts Us All" from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., Medford.
Not Straight-Not Sure, the youth program of the Lotus Rising Project, organized the seminar, which will feature guest speakers, a youth-led panel discussion, and an interactive performance by Youth Empowerment Theatre (formerly Teen Theatre). The seminar is free and open to the public.
Speakers will include Crater High School teacher Matthew Reynolds, who will discuss the challenges he faces in trying to address bullying in school. The theater group will create a bullying scenario and work with the audience to create a better outcome for the victims, bystanders and perpetrators.
