High Holy Days services at Temple Emek Shalom

Temple Emek Shalom will hold Kol Nidre services at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at 1800 E. Main St., Ashland. A Yom Kippur service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, and services will continue throughout the day.

Rabbi Joshua Boettiger will lead a service to build and decorate the Sukkah at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

A vegetarian potluck dinner will be held in the Sukkah at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18. Erev Sukkot services will follow at 7 p.m. Call 541-773-4477.


Preregister for High Holy Days at the Havurah

Preregistration is available for Yom Kippur services at the Havurah, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The Jewish day of atonement begins at sunset Friday, Sept. 13, for a 25-hour period of prayer and fasting.

A gathering will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the temple. The event will include song, storytelling and Sukkah decoration for the upcoming harvest festival.
