  • Dr. John Chambers originally became interested in nutrition and functional blood chemistry as a patient.
"I was sick and couldn't find anyone to help me," he says. "The Western medical model does not always serve someone who is sick, but not quite sick enough. My goal is to treat the patient who can't find help anywhere else."
In Chambers' case, he found a doctor practicing functional medicine who was able to get results using natural treatments. The experience inspired Chambers to pursue a career helping others improve their quality of life.
At his clinic on 1215 NE 7th St. in Grants Pass, Chambers analyzes patients' blood chemistry to optimize their health. "My typical patient is looking for someone to help figure out what is wrong in order to feel better again," he explains.
Based on a thorough review of a diverse variety of labs, Chambers will recommend dietary changes and/or nutritional supplementation to reduce inflammation and increase proper function systemically.
Chambers has done extensive study in thyroid function, chiropractic neurology and autoimmune issues. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Brigham Young University and his doctorate at Western States Chiropractic College.
"I want to improve the situation of anyone and everyone who walks through my door," he says.
