Dr. Brian Gross loves what he does. As a cardiologist with Southern Oregon Cardiologists in Medford, Gross's patients come from all over the region.
"I think the most exciting thing about cardiology is that you can make major improvements in many peoples' lives, taking them from life-threatening or life-altering situations," he says. "For most patients, we can give them a significant and dramatic quality of life improvement and life-expectancy fairly painlessly."

Gross specializes in interventional cardiology, which involves placing stents in arteries. "For people who have arrhythmias, single- or double-blocked arteries and heart attack, we can quickly fix the majority with catheters and medications," he explains.
Gross earned his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and his medical doctorate from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. He held a fellowship at the University of Washington and has been practicing in Southern Oregon now for 31 years.
"I truly love what I do," he says. "I'm interested in my patients as people, about what is unique about them. Nothing makes me happier than being able to give a patient who has faced a very serious cardiac problem, potentially even death, a second chance at an improved lifestyle."
Gross credits his partners, nurses and assistants at Southern Oregon Cardiology at 520 Medical Center Drive, Suite 200 and the staff of Rogue Regional Hospital with providing a happy and invigorating environment in which to practice.
