James Frederick Rausch, 83, passed away September 2, 2013, ending his long battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in Medford, Ore. He was born January 18, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio. to Roy and Agnes Rausch.

Jim was a career air traffic controller. In 2003 he moved to the state of Washington after his wife of 45 years, Samantha June (O'Reilly) Rausch, passed away. There he met Lois Daly, a long-time Eatonville, Wash., resident. Together they moved to their new home in Medford, Ore., in 2006. They were married at their home December 5, 2012.

James is survived by his wife, Lois Brown; sons, Michael and Matthew Rausch; daughter, Pamela (Duane) Crone; grandchildren, Emily Crone, Alexander and Samantha Rausch; great-grandson, Felix Leggett; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Rausch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Agnes Rausch; wife, Samantha Rausch; brothers, Edward and Robert Gene Rausch; and siser, Jo Tracy.

Services were held in Jacksonville, Fla. Father Frank Iacone officiated.
