Paige Bruce helped the Cascade Christian volleyball team find its rhythm in the second set Monday as the host Challengers derailed Bonanza, 25-16, 26-24, 25-17, in a nonconference contest.

Bruce's serving helped the Challengers (3-4) climb out of a 23-20 hole. She was also assisted by Madigan Smith, who made key kills down the stretch.

The Challengers were tied with the Antlers 9-all in Set 3 before pulling away.

Smith, a junior middle, turned in 10 kills and three aces, while outside hitters Trudy Burns and Karlee Britton combined for 15 kills — Burns eight and Britton seven.

In addition to her serving, libero Bruce provided 22 digs, and setter Alyssa Brown racked up 29 assists.
