  • Pattie L. Miller, 78, of Medford, Ore., passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Medford, Ore. She was born August 14, 1935 in Burden, Kans., to Robert Glenn and Ethel Florence (James) Sumner.
    She grew up in Brookings, Ore. She attended John Sweat High School in Hayward, Calif. On November 11, 1950, Pattie married William Edward Miller in Reno, Nev. They moved to Southern Oregon in 1970. She was a Navy wife and a homemaker. Pattie enjoyed reading, sewing, crochet, ceramics, and home decorating. She attended First Baptist Church, Medford, Ore.
    Pattie is survived by her children, William Eric Miller, Karen-Lynn Miller, and Ann Alyse Miller; brother, Richard Dwain Sumner; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William E. Miller, U.S.N. Retired.
    She will be interred at Eagle Point National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
