After a long fight with the effects of Parkinsons, Rosemary Paullin, 83, of Albany, Ore., passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at A Peace of Mind Adult Foster Care, with family at her side.
Rosemary was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Henry and Vevia (Plumlee) Myers. She married Forrest E. Paullin Saturday, February 28, 1948 in Reno, Nev. She loved to sing and dance and was involved in productions with the Albany Choristers. Rosemary enjoyed sewing and crafts of all kinds. She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for large family gatherings and entertain friends. In her years of good health there were always beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She loved her animals as deeply as her human family members. She was a very loving person and would always ask if there was something she could do for you, even through her illness.
Rosemary is survived by , daughters, Roselea (Gary) McDowell and Katherine E. (Larry) Maas, all of Albany, Ore.; sons, Marion E. (Tammie) Paullin II, of White City, Ore., and Michael L. (Candy) Paullin, of Albany, Ore.; brother, Charles H. Moore, of Salton Sea, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Dolores Ponticelli, of San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest, in 2004; brother, Lloyd Myers; brother-in-law, Tony Ponticelli; and feline companions, Alley, Cocoa, and Opal.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Willamette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, Safe Haven Humane Society, or C.A.T.S adoption in Medford, OR. in care of the funeral home.
