Police dogs from throughout state train in Medford

Police dogs from across the state will gather in Medford this week for training.

Medford police host the Oregon Police Canine Association's fall conference through Thursday, Sept. 26. The dogs and their handlers will train at locations around Jackson County.

The group is a nonprofit organization that facilitates and oversees certification of all police canine units. Members must be sworn officers with a current canine assignment. Several area agencies will participate in the conference.
