CRESCENT CITY, Calif. — So far this season, Sebastian Tovar and the Eagle Point boys soccer team have been on the rise.
Tovar scored four goals on Monday, including two key scores in the second half, to guide the Eagles to a 6-4 come-from-behind victory against host Del Norte.
Del Norte led 3-2 at the halftime, but after notching both of the Eagles' goals in the opening half, Tovar recorded his hat trick in the 54th minute on a through ball from Ronaldo Rincon to knot the score at 3-all.
Six minutes later, Tovar provided the go-ahead shot, a goal off a cross from Brock Wilson, which Tovar volleyed off his body in front of the goal and into the net to put the Eagles (4-2-1) in front, 4-3.
Genaro Martinez-Del Rio gave the Eagles an insurance goal with under a minute remaining on a cross from Gerardo Lopez. The Eagles tallied another other goal in the 70th minute on an own goal by Del Norte.
