  • GRANTS PASS — Sophomore outside hitter Emily Carter piled up 19 kills as North Medford downed Grants Pass 24-26, 25-17, 25-18, 25-21 in SOH action.
    Carter also had four aces and 16 digs for the Black Tornado (7-3, 3-1 SOH), which lost a big lead in the final game before closing it out. North was ahead 17-6, but the Cavers crept as close as 23-20.
    Senior middle hitter Elle Bixler had 11 kills in the win, and senior libero Katy Carter produced 19 digs.
    SOUTH MEDFORD 3, EAGLE POINT 1 — The Sporer twins kept South Medford's energy high with their play in a 25-15, 23-25, 25-18, 25-17 nonleague victory over Eagle Point.
    Grace Sporer recorded 26 digs and all five of her aces came in the fourth set, giving the Panthers (2-4) the momentum to take over.
    Claire Sporer racked up 16 kills on 32 swings and only had four errors. Nicole Bell added 12 kills and Megan Funderburk pitched in six.
    ROSEBURG 3, ASHLAND 0 — At Roseburg, Roseburg bounced back from Saturday's loss to Crook County — the Indians' first setback in 13 matches — to claim a 25-15, 25-18, 25-22 nonleague win.
    Roseburg improved to 16-2 and dropped Class 5A Ashland to 3-7.
    Skyline Conference
    PHOENIX 3, HENLEY 1 — At Phoenix, Adriana Merieda-Ford made the match-securing kill in the fourth set as Phoenix (7-2, 3-0 Skyline) bounced Henley, 25-9, 25-16, 23-25, 29-27.
    Merieda-Ford had eight kills to pace Pirates' offense, which was orchestrated through setter Karlie Richardson's 49 assists.
    The Pirates' Ashlyn Flynn had 26 digs and Lyzette Gutierrez made 12 digs to go with five aces. Sydney Amundsen had seven kills and Hailey Wyncoop six.
    NORTH VALLEY 3, KLAMATH UNION 0 — At Merlin, North Valley won the Skyline match, 25-15, 25-23, 25-21.
    Haleigh Wagman led North Valley (3-6, 2-1 Sky) with 11 kills and 11 digs. Areanna Thomas helped out with nine kills and two blocks, while Syndey Stone finished with 11 digs and Rachelle Garcis 29 assists.
    Klamath Union is 2-6 and 0-3.
    HIDDEN VALLEY 3, MAZAMA 0 — At Klamath Falls, Hidden Valley ran its perfect records to 10-0 overall and 3-0 in Skyline play with a 25-11, 25-14, 26-24 victory.
    For the Mustangs, middle Lacey Maynard amassed 10 kills and seven blocks, right side hitter Ashley Hyde had five kills and 10 digs and libero Colleen Bailey tallied 16 digs and four aces.
    Southern Cascade Hybrid
    ROGUE RIVER 3, ILLINOIS VALLEY 0 — At Rogue River, buoyed by solid defense, Rogue River (1-5, 1-2 SCH) was able to pick up its first victory of the season, 25-12, 25-17, 25-18.
