  • Medford police believe three Stewart Avenue burglaries that took place over a 20-hour period over the weekend and resulted in the theft of two laptop computers are connected.
Now police are looking for the public's help in identifying suspects.
Police said they investigated the burglaries Monday afternoon and determined the three incidents occurred between 8 p.m. Sunday, and 4 p.m. Monday. The burglaries occurred at Medford Neighborhood Church, 1819 Stewart Ave.; Heritage Christian Church, 1870 Stewart Ave.; and Living Stones Daycare, 1847 Stewart Ave.
The suspect or suspects broke into both churches through unsecured windows, swiping the two laptops from Heritage Christian Church before fleeing. Nothing was taken from the Medford Neighborhood Church. A shed behind Living Stones Daycare was damaged during the break-in attempt, but nothing was taken, police said. The same person also had tried to pry open a window on the daycare building but could not open it.
Police have no information regarding possible suspects. Anyone with information about the cases should call Medford police at 541-770-4783.
