Christian Aviles scored twice to lead the St. Mary's boys soccer team to a 6-0 nonleague victory over the Ashland junior varsity Thursday at U.S. Cellular Community Park.
Aviles scored in the 25th minute from 8 yards out with an assist from Eli Conway, and again in the 71st minute to cap the scoring. The second one, from close range, capped the scoring and came after Aviles took a pass from Tracy Salgado.
Also for the Crusaders, who improved to 4-1-2, Michael Gambee had a goal and an assist, and Bryce Parsons, Zach Lewis and Hunter Rothfus scored. Aviles and Daniel Farrell also had assists.
Conway was active for St. Mary's, producing a number of shots and forcing the action.
