Bischoff cashes in win at Fall Shootout

Central Point's Monte Bischoff topped off the most successful season of his nine-year auto racing career by winning the Fall Shootout in Fernley, Nev., over the weekend.

In a field of 40 dirt modified drivers, Bischoff won his heat race and finished second in the main event on Friday. Those results catapulted him into Saturday's main event, where he claimed the outside pole starting position for the main event by winning the dash.

This season, Bischoff put up three wins at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, a second-place finish at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., last week and top-five finishes at Cottage Grove, Southern Oregon Speedway and Willamette.
