Craving a burger? This weekend you can get one and donate to a local charity.
Local police will play waiters and waitresses to raise money for the Oregon Special Olympics from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Red Robin in Medford.
Part of the annual national Tip-A-Cop event, officers from Medford police and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department will collect special tips from restaurant patrons, and donate the money to the Special Olympics. A majority of those funds will stay in the Rogue Valley to support the local Special Olympics program, organizers said.
