  • It appears St. Mary's School will remain at the Class 3A level for competition governed by the Oregon School Activities Association.
The OSAA's Classification and Districting Committee released its final proposal today, keeping St. Mary's in the Southern Cascade League.
In a previous proposal, St. Mary's found itself grouped among the Skyline Conference schools at the 4A level. St. Mary's Athletic Director James Joy had argued against that plan before the committee on Monday.
The committee will present its recommendation to the OSAA's Executive Board on Oct. 28 for the four-year time block that starts in 2014-15.
