Thomas F. Nixon, 91, passed away in Ashland, Ore. He was born May 3, 1922 to Ethel and George Nixon. On June 26, 1949, he married his wife, Jean, who preceded him in death.

Thomas was a Merchant Marine and was self-employed, having owned Nixon's Spur and Sport in Thousand Oaks, Calif., selling western and casual wear. He was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and later, St. Mark's in Medford, Ore. Thomas enjoyed the theater and was a founding member of the Conejo Players, a community theater.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Nixon; daughter, Randy Nixon; grandchildren, Trevor Stewart, Heather Erquiaga, and Melissa Morris; and great-grandchildren, Devun Stewart, and Collin and Caleb Erquiaga.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Perl Funeral Home. Donations in his memory may be made to Conejo Valley YMCA, 4301 N. Moopark Rd., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.
