Beavers' cornerback wins honor

CORVALLIS — Oregon State University cornerback Rashaad Reynolds has been named this week's Pac-12 Conference defensive player of the week, it was announced Monday.

The senior from Pacoima, Calif., intercepted two passes, forced two fumbles and made six overall tackles in Oregon State's 52-24 win over Washington State last Saturday at Martin Stadium in Pullman.

Reynolds is the fifth Beaver to be honored this season, joining two-time recipient quarterback Sean Mannion, cornerback Steven Nelson and place-kicker Trevor Romaine.

Oregon State is riding a five-game winning streak and seeks to become bowl eligible Saturday when it visits California at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
