A suspect in the Oct. 10 murder of an Ashland-area man was arrested today in Vancouver, Wash., the Jackson County Sheriff's Office reported.
Othon Robert Campos, Jr., 41, of Medford, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals at an undisclosed location in Vancouver and has been lodged at the Clark County Jail, according to a sheriff's department news release.
Campos and another man, 34-year-old Merlin Elmo Bound III, were indicted Thursday, Oct. 17, by a Jackson County grand jury in the murder of Frank Ronald Damiano, 62, of Ashland.
Campos was indicted for aggravated felony murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, and first-degree burglary.
Bound was arrested at his Medford home Tuesday. He was indicted on two counts of murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, and first-degree burglary and is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
